Amboseli National Park sits at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak. The park is famous for its large elephant herds — some of the biggest tuskers on the continent roam these plains, photographed against Kilimanjaro's snow-capped summit.
At just 392 square kilometres, Amboseli is compact but extraordinarily photogenic. The park's swamps, fed by Kilimanjaro's melting snow, attract wildlife year-round and create a lush oasis in the otherwise arid landscape.
