100% refund (less non-refundable supplier fees)

Full refund of all payments made to Imara Africa Safaris, less any supplier deposits already paid (gorilla permits, charter flights, some exclusive-use camps).

89–60 days before departure

75% refund

75% refund of trip value, or 100% as a credit note valid for 24 months towards a rebooked safari.

59–30 days before departure

50% refund

50% refund of trip value. Medical emergency cancellations (with proof) refunded at 75%.

29–15 days before departure

25% refund

25% refund, or 50% credit note. This is the window most supplier deposits become non-refundable.

14–0 days before departure

Non-refundable

No refund — but we strongly recommend travel insurance for cancel-for-any-reason cover. We will always assist with supplier claims where possible.

After departure (early return)

Prorated per service

Any unused nights or activities are claimed via your travel insurer. Where possible we recover non-committed funds on your behalf.

Percentages are of the total Imara trip value. Non-refundable supplier deposits (for example gorilla or chimpanzee permits, domestic charter flights, some exclusive-use camps) are itemised up front and cannot be recovered once paid to the supplier — regardless of cancellation timing.
